Jake Wells, DVM

A 1974 graduate of Texas A & M University, Jake is a horse specialist focusing on lameness & performance horses. He spent his first year in Beeville, Texas and in 1975 moved to San Antonio and practiced at Kirby Animal Hospital, then moved to City Vet Hospital and finally in 1993, Cibolo Valley Animal Hospital where he currently calls home.

I've been fortunate to be referred to several wonderful vets, but Jake is not only a specialist in his field, but also has great communication skills where we two-legged humans are concerned. So many times in the past I have respected a vet for his knowledge, but couldn't understand or relate the problems where my horse was concerned. Not so with Jake. He has excellent chiropractic skills and great concern for our equine friends. He is our resident horse specialist.
